Staff Pension Plan
The Staff Pension Plan is a defined benefit plan with fixed contributions from both the University and Plan members.
The Plan is invested in a variety of asset classes through external investment managers (PDF).
To create better alignment between the Plan's assets and liabilities, a new policy asset mix has recently been approved by the UBC Staff Pension Board and UBC Board of Governors. It is anticipated that assets will be transitioned to the new policy mix over the next three to five years.
